Darrington, Washington

Where small town charm meets the call of the wild.

Get to know our community.

What was once a prospector’s hub has become a community cherished for its scenic beauty and outdoor adventure and abundant forest resources. The North Cascades region offers exceptional fishing, hunting, and mountain biking opportunities. Whether on a softtail, skis, or your own two feet, Darrington is where the explorer goes to test their limits.

Come and find your wilderness.

The serenity of our community extends beyond the limits of our town’s borders. From here you have prime access to the Stillaguamish, Sauk, and Suiattle rivers, plus proximity to the Boulder River, Henry M. Jackson and Glacier Peak wilderness areas. Whether you want to hike, fish, bike or raft, our town invites the exploration of vast landscapes.

The mill and our people.

Our community and mill are deeply bound to each other. As the largest employer in Darrington, our sawmill provides opportunities for many in our town. Darrington is known for being a hardworking timber town, filled with people who appreciate the variety of benefits the surrounding forests provide–from jobs to recreation and everything in between. What do our Darrington employees like most about work and the location? The opportunity to work with their hands, problem-solve, and earn a good wage in a place that allows for easy access to a variety of outdoor pursuits.
